Tibia Plena/Harmonic Flute Selectable
The following lighted reversible push buttons affect the Solo Tibia Clausa stops on the solo manual and/or pedal. When the reversible push button is activated, the Tibia Clause will be replaced by the specified rank. On the Solo, this permits the Tibia Plena and/or the Harmonic Flute to be available at various pitches.

Combination Pistons
With the UniFlex (Devtronix) system, any piston can control any stops. All push buttons in the left pull out which affect any of the keyboards are controlled by the combination action (e.g., pedal selective triangle, all the Celeste ON buttons, the Solo Plena Select, etc.). Buttons controlling sound effects are not commonly controlled (Surf, Bird Whistle, etc.). The pistons on the Great keyboard are second touch pistons. The NorCal definition has these set to neutral so inexperienced people playing the instrument do not get themselves into trouble. Visiting artists often use the second touch pistons.

Accompaniment - 20 pistons
Great - 10 pistons
Bombarde - 10 pistons
Solo - 10 pistons
Lower row of tow studs to left of swell shoes - 7 pistons

Swell Shoes
There are three swell shoes and one crescendo pedal. From left to right they are Main, Solo, Perfound/Master, Crescendo. Toggle switches on the name board control coupling the Main and/or Solo to the Perfound. Since a number of pedal ranks, tuned percussions, and the toy counter are in the Perfound, the couplers are usually left on and the master swell shoe is used.

Stop List for the Center Theatre Console at Berkeley

Notations and definitions used in this list:

(In) - located in the center chamber

(Out) - located outside the chambers in the tone chute

Flip Flop - located with the pedal stops on the Name Board. There are three controls located on the left pullout which work in conjunction with this stop. The three Flip Flop traps are High Hat cymbal, Tom Tom, and Snare Drum. If one of these is on and the Flip Flop stop tab is on, the enabled trap will be played every other time any note on the pedal board is hit. Thus you could put on the Pedal Tap Cymbal and the Flip Flop High Hat Cymbal and as you played the pedal line the Tap would play every time and the High Hat would play every other time.

String Ensemble - Solo String, Gamba, VDO

Violin Ensemble - Violin, Salicional

Flue Ensemble - Concert Flute, Harmonic Flute, Lieblich Flute, Quintadena

Vox Humana II - Solo Vox Humana, Main Vox Humana - the Solo Vox Humana is solo scale

Tibia Plena Coupler, Harmonic Flute Coupler, and Lieblich Flute Coupler - These three stops affect all the Solo Tibia stops on the Solo manual. If any of them are on, the Solo Tibia will not play and the rank indicated on the coupler will be activated at the corresponding pitch. Thus if you had the Tibia Plena coupler on and the 4' Solo Tibia stop on, the Solo Tibia would not play and the 4' Tibia Plena would. If you added the Harmonic Flute coupler on too, then both the 4' Tibia Plena and the 4' Harmonic Flute would play when the 4' Solo Tibia stop on the Solo Manual was on.

Strings/Dulciana Celeste On, Quintadena Celeste On, Flute Celeste On - These stops, when on, will add the celeste rank to any rank which is registered anywhere in the organ. Thus the Flute Celeste stop will affect all the Concert Flute stops in the organ. The Strings/Dulciana Celeste will affect any Solo String, Gamba, Violin, VDO, Salicional, Dulciana, String Ensemble, or Violin Ensemble stops. The Quintadena Celeste will affect any Quintadena stop.

There will be a second toy counter installed outside the chambers in the tone chute. A control stop called Outside Traps On will play the outside trap instead of the inside trap.

There are two specialty push buttons on the left pull out which affect trems on the Great. The Trumpet Trem 2nd Touch and the Harmonic Flute Trem 2nd Touch. If either of these are on, the associated trem will not go on until a key on the Great is pushed through to 2nd touch.
