The Strand in 1926: John Barrymore in Don Juan is running, along with the Lupino Lane comedy short Monty of the Mounted & an International Newsreel. The Big Parade starts October 31st.

A sign above the door advertises the Strand's premier organist, Kathleen Murphy.

It's hot in Meridian, but the Strand keeps things cool with linen slipcovers for the seats & plenty of fans on the walls, under the gallery, & on the ceiling.

The orchestra pit has a piano & room for a few more musicians to accompany evening performances, & there's a 2 manual, 6 rank Robert Morton organ, too.
There's not much excuse for losing track of time when there's a lighted clock hanging down front!
